If you watch videos on TikTok then you know just how viral new beauty products can get! Recently it’s been the KVD Beauty Good Apple Foundation Balm and I was sold when I saw how great it looked on everyone trying it out. With it being spring so many brands are coming out with new products as well so I decided to pick up a few and review them all!
KVD Beauty Good Apple Foundation Balm
I really want to like this foundation and I still might in the future but the shade I had gotten (06) was just too light and the wrong undertone. It’s weird because I’m used to most foundations being too dark but I could tell from wearing it that it just wasn’t working out. In terms of the foundation formulation, I personally didn’t find it to be full coverage unless I used a lot of it, which in turn just ended up looking pretty bad because of the poor shade match. The consistency was interesting because it melts to the touch so I’d recommend using a brush or sponge straight into the product but the drawback is it’s not the most sanitary option. Overall I wanted to like it but, unfortunately, don’t. I’m hoping to give it the benefit of the doubt and maybe if I can exchange it for a different shade that will change things but right now I can’t really say that I loved it.
Elf Flawless Brightening Concealer
The new Elf brightening concealer is something I’ve been wanting to try for a while now and I’m so glad I got it! When it starts to get warm out I prefer concealer pens like this because they’re typically light to medium coverage and very lightweight. This concealer is only $5 and it gave me medium coverage when I used it. Overall I really liked it. It’s great for spring because it’s lightweight and covers just enough. I’m also pretty fair with cool undertones and it’s hard to find concealers that have more of a pinkish tint to them so this was perfect for under my eyes!
Perky Sculpting Body Hydrator
This moisturizer by Franks Body is really nice if you’re a fan of the OG Bum Bum Cream. It’s almost the same exact coconut and vanilla scent without being too overpowering and is incredibly moisturizing. I’ve used it out of the shower and just during the day and both times I’ve felt it’s really moisturized my skin which is great! Another plus is that the packaging is reusable as a coffee cup when you’re done! If you’re looking for a new body moisturizer I would definitely recommend this one. I can tell it’s going to be one of my new favorites now!
I’m Rice Clarifying Blemish Mask
During the spring, I start to break out more as my skin gets oily again so I’m always looking for new skincare products to try. I have loved TonyMoly sheet masks since I was a teenager so when I saw they were coming out with a new clay mask I was so excited to try it out! I’ve only used this once so far but I really like it. It wasn’t harsh on my skin and I felt like it did help to clear the breakout I had. You just have to let it sit on your skin for about 15 minutes and wash it off after which isn’t too bad at all. I will say the only drawback is that it doesn’t have the most pleasant scent but it’s not too noticeable so it isn’t a major drawback for me. I would recommend using this with a spatula tool and using an even layer so that it drys evenly. Overall, I’d definitely recommend checking this out!
Final Thoughts
I’m really happy with everything I tried besides the foundation which is ironic because it was what I was most excited to check out. I like changing products in my routine seasonally as my skin changes and this is one of the first times most of what I’ve tried has impressed me.
