Disney Park Day Essentials

Disney Parks can be intimidating and if you’re someone like me that likes to plan everything out, a checklist of everything you need is important. As someone who tends to overpack, I’ve decided to outline my Disney Park Essentials to help ensure you have everything you need and nothing you don’t! In today’s post, I’ll be outlining the key essentials for a Disney park day and how you can get away with just a fanny pack or small bag!

Magic Band

Magic Band

If you’re visiting Disney World, your ticket doesn’t even take space in your bag because you’re wearing it! A magic band is a great Disney Park essential because you can link your park ticket to it. They come in a variety of colors and some have fun features too! Mine is part of the Dooney & Bourke Disney Dog collab and whenever I tap a kiosk with it, the kiosk barks!

If you are staying in a Disney Hotel then your magic band also most likely doubles as your payment method too! (Just make sure your account has charging privileges) This already eliminates the need to carry around your wallet and you can set a limit on how much you spend.

Phone

If you have a smartphone then you really have three tools in one! You have access to wait times and an entire park map courtesy of the Disney App, communication to friends and family, and if you don’t have charging privileges on your account you can use your phone’s payment method such as Apple pay or Google pay!

Sun Screen

Sunscreen

For me, sunscreen is always a park essential. No matter what time of year it is, it is always important to have sunscreen on you! As convenient as spray cans are, I’m not a big fan of lugging them around everywhere. For this reason, I like to have a small bottle of lotion or stick with me. Right now I’m really loving Supergoops Everday Sunscreen!

Money

Walking around in a crowded park, I don’t always want to have my entire wallet on me. Because of this, I prefer to use things like Fitbit pay or Apple pay but if you aren’t using an electronic method of payment here are some other options to carry money with you.

  • Phone Case- Instead of carrying your wallet around minimizing yourself to a phone case that has a wallet attached is a great option!
  • Small amount of Cash- I always keep about $20 cash on me for emergencies.

Hand Sanitizer

Hand Sanitizer

Hand Sanitizer can come in handy when you’re wandering the parks, especially if you decide to eat some snacks along the way! With so many people in the parks, it’s always good to make sure you have hand sanitizer to stay germfree!

Charger

If you’re out all day you can’t always survive off of one phone charge. Having a phone charging case or portable charger is always helpful in the parks! Disney also has its own portable chargers which are a one time fee and always exchangeable throughout the parks and some resorts.

Hair Tie

If you have long hair then a hair tie is a must. I know I put my hair up at least 10 different times when I’m walking around the parks. Its nice to keep your hair up on windy rides and when it’s really hot out.

That’s All Folks!

Those are my Disney Park essentials! Everything I’ve mentioned is the bare minimum and other items you may want to bring are more than welcome! One thing I didn’t mention but is always important is to stay hydrated! You can always get free water in the parks or you can bring your own water bottle too.

I hope this helps for your next Disney Park Day and be sure to let me know what some of your park essentials are!
